Sizing note
The Hopu is designed with generous sleeves so you can size up and cuff, extending the life of each top across multiple seasons. Most parents size up one size and cuff the sleeves - the rib knit keeps the cuff neat and close to the wrist rather than bunching.
My grandchildren happily wear these SOFT, warm sweaters. They are comfortable and warm and last through multiple hand me down rotations. NOTE: be sure that everyone who uses the wash machine knows to recognize wool in laundry AND to set for cool (not cold!) water, to use wool cleanser—not detergent— and to NEVER PUT IN DRYER! We keep wool laundry hampers to help—but with kids, laundry needs to be checked. IT IS WORTH IT for warmth, comfort, a quality, long term investment AND for the environment!

This wool is so soft!
I bought the hopu for my son who is 5. I got. Size 6 and it fits great with room to grow for next year. He wore this to outdoor school and the cuffs were filthy but a quick brush off and it was good to go for another day! It has washed up nicely since then. The fit is gender neutral which is great since both of my kids will fit in the clothes. We love wool clothes and Nui seems great. We will be back for more.

I love the ribbing, but I do find the torso a bit short on this style. I bought the 6-12 for my now 11-month-old, who's definitely taller/bigger than average, and the sleeves are plenty long enough. Just would like a longer shirt.

Super versatile and soft sweater
We have had this sweater in various colors and sizes. It is always our go-to. It is so beautiful, soft and cozy. It is versatile because it can span multiple seasons due to the ribbing,that allows it to lay close to the body or to expand, it easy to layer over or under this piece. The sweater allows for your child's growth so that you can wear for more than the normal blunk of an eye as the ribbing allows it to be narrow when your child is smaller but then comfortably expands as they grow. The sleeves are also very easy turn back initially and as they grow the sleeve is never too short...your child always looks like they are wearing something that fits properly and is comfortable...not too baggy or too tight. It's really just the most well-designed top! Further, I love the gorgeous color offerings. I am always so happy that we invested in these beautiful pieces.

Everyday wear
We received this as a gift and our baby has been wearing everyday this winter. Softest merino and no pilling when washed by hand. Looks like we can get another winter out of it
